Privacy and Data Policy
April 2022
Latham & Neve is committed to protecting your privacy and data. The information we collect is in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018 and the Electronic Communications Regulations 2003.
Who are we?
Latham & Neve have been in the forefront of British jewellery for over 20 years since Anna Latham and Helen Neve met at Medway College of Art and Design. We are members of the National Association of Jewellers (NAJ). Our aim is to provide a personal service to our clients whether that be in the purchasing of a special piece of jewellery, bespoke commission or repair of an existing piece of our work. Part of providing this service involves collecting data from our clients. We do this to refer back to previous purchases and repairs to develop a better understanding of our customers' needs and to aid any future work.
What information do we collect?
When you purchase something from Latham & Neve online or over the phone as part of the buying process, we collect the personal information you give us. The information we hold about you may include:
• Your name
• Postal address
• Telephone number
• Email address
• Previous purchases
• Previous repairs
• Your preferences for how you would like to be communicated with about our work
We maintain a record of items you have bought but we never store your payment card number.
We keep a record of the emails we send and track any subsequent actions online, such as purchases. See our cookie policy for more information.
How do we use your data?
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase or exchange or repair, we have a legitimate interest in collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason such as marketing, we will either ask you directly for your explicit consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no. You have the right to withdraw this information at any time.
With your permission, we may send you our email newsletter and postal brochure (with our new collection). Emails are on average once a month and more frequent during peak shopping times. We will never bombard you, it's not our style! Our brochure is sent only once a year.
